At what temperature does candle wax melt?

The melting temperature of candle wax can vary depending on the specific type of wax used. Different waxes have different compositions and melting points.

These are some approximate melting points for the most common types of candle wax you will come accross.

Paraffin Wax melts between 130 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (54 to 65 degrees Celsius).

Soy Wax is a popular natural alternative to paraffin wax, and melts between 120 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit (49 to 65 degrees Celsius). Soy wax blends can have slightly different melting points.

Beeswax is another natural wax and melts between 144 to 147 degrees Fahrenheit (62 to 64 degrees Celsius).

Palm Wax (manufactured using palm oil) melts between 140 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit (60 to 71 degrees Celsius).

Note:

These temperatures are approximate and will vary depending on specific formulation of the wax and any additives. Some speciality waxes may also have different melting points outside the ranges mentioned above.

When using wax melts and candles, it's crucial to follow the manufacturer's instructions and take necessary precautions to prevent accidents or injuries related to the handling and melting of wax.
